Reopening City Hall- Appointments and Services

Beginning Tuesday, June 29, 2021 City Hall reopening will be expanded to allow appointments and limited walk-in services.

We encourage everyone to continue taking advantage of City services provided remotely by phone, email or online. If your business with the City cannot be accomplished remotely, then please see how to make an in-person appointment below.

Limited services are available for in-person walk-ins and appointments. Depending on the service department, processes for booking an appointment may differ.

Know Before You Go

Upon entering City Hall, visitors to the Recreation and Human Services, Admin Services, City Clerk, or Community Development Departments will have a virtual queueing system where visitors will sign in using a kiosk or through their smartphone.

Visitors will then queue outside of City Hall to avoid having people gather inside the limited space of the City Hall lobby. The queuing software has texting capability so staff can let the visitor know when it’s their turn. Once inside the lobby area, there are visual delineators to denote where to stand or wait.

Mask Requirements for Public Visitors to City Facilities

  • Masks are required while visiting indoor City facilities regardless of vaccination status. This requirement is effective July 17, 2021 at 11:59pm, per Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Order.
  • Please note: Regardless of vaccination status, masks are required for everyone on public transit.
