<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>1700 West 162nd Street, Room 106, Gardena, CA 90247 The City \u00a0Treasurer provides monthly reports disclosing the City’s financial position and investment activity to the City Council, recommends and arranges for the investment of idle funds and acts in administering the bond assessment programs. As the general financial adviser to the City and the citizens’ independent financial-managerial observer, the City Treasurer serves as a member of the Finance Committee along with two members of the City Council and the City Manager.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> J. Ingrid Tsukiyama was re-elected for a third, four-year term as City Treasurer of Gardena in March 2013. Prior to her election to the position of City Treasurer, in March 2005, she had already served the City of Gardena for eleven years as Deputy City Treasurer.<\/p>\n Now, in her third term as City Treasurer, she continues to work closely with the Mayor and the City Council to help ensure the financial health of Gardena and its citizens.<\/p>\n Along with her responsibilities to the citizens, Ms. Tsukiyama also serves on the City’s Finance Committee. She serves and has served as treasurer for various organizations such as No Grab, Gardena Cable Usage Corporation, South Bay Classic Foundation and the City of Gardena Sister City Association.
