In accordance with Gardena Municipal Code Section 5.32.10 through section 5.32.100, entertainment in any form, i.e., karaoke, piano playing, disc jockey, restaurant dancing, bands, etc. requires an Entertainment Permit, as well as City Council approval. Plan your permit needs early to allow at least 45 days to complete the permit review and approval process. The City has the right to modify the time or nature of your application or to deny the application outright.
If the initial application is granted by Council, it will remain in force for a period of one year and is subject to annual renewal thereafter by the Administrative Services Department. If the applicant desires to change the form of entertainment or expand the hours from what was originally approved by Council, a new permit will need to be processed for Council approval.
