The Gardena Beautification Commission

Comprised of nine members, including a Councilmember (as Chairperson), eight citizens and a few staff advisors, this Commission is involved with all aspects of improving the physical environment of Gardena. Commission projects include elimination of graffiti, beautification of streets and parkways, tree planting, and other related activities.

Home of the Month – October 2025

Happy Halloween! The Beautification Commission would like to Congratulate the Winner of the 2025 Halloween Home Decoration Contest, located on the 16000^th block of Halldale Ave.

The winner received a yard sign, certificate from the Beautification Commission, and a Home Depot Gift card.

Thank you to all who submitted their homes. The commissioners loved looking at all of the submissions and had the hardest time choosing a winner.

Please be on the lookout for the Holiday Home Decoration Contest, which will come just in time for Christmas!
