How do I request tree trimming?

There are nearly 9,400 trees in the parkways, medians and parks in the City of Gardena. The trees are trimmed in a way that does not deter growth; however, branches and limbs that pose a threat to public safety are removed either because the limb hangs above the road surface or foliage interferes with traffic signs or overhead utilities. On occasion, trees are replaced if they have out grown an area or have roots that have lifted a sidewalk or curb. For information regarding the City’s tree trimming schedule, visit the City’s website at https://cityofgardena.org/tree-trimming/ or contact the Park Maintenance Lead (310) 217-9595. To report a tree with fallen limbs or branches that pose a safety hazard, contact the Public Works Department at (310) 217-9568, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. To report fallen branches after business hours, including weekends or holidays, please call the Police Department non-emergency number at (310) 323-7911.
