In accordance with Gardena Municipal Code Section 5.64, street vendors and peddlers are prohibited from peddling or selling or offering to sell, any food, goods, wares or merchandise of any kind or description from any wagon, cart, pushcart, truck, automobile, carriage or other vehicle while standing in one location on any PUBLIC STREET or alley in the City without first having obtained a permit to do so from the Community Development Department. The permit is required in addition to a business license. The permit allows a street vendor or peddler to sell in one location on a public street, but only as long as requested by a bona fide purchaser and in any case, no longer than ten (10) minutes. The hours of operation upon any public street is limited to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 6:00 p.m. during the months of July and August, and in all other months of a year only during the hours from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The sale of food, goods, wares or merchandise is prohibited in any alley at anytime.

The permit if granted, will remain in force for a period of one year and is subject to annual renewal thereafter by the Community Development Department.
