Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for approximately 200 volunteers to help with assisting visitors and setting up and taking down the exhibit. If you are interested in donating your time, please sign up today.  Volunteers must be 16 years or older.  All shifts are Rain or Shine

Title Duties and Responsibilities Date Time
Wall Set-up Involves a substantial amount of walking, lifting, and carrying.  Volunteers need to be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 8:30 am to approximately 2:30 pm
Visitor Ambassador Assist visitors at the Welcome Tent, Wall, and Mobile Education Center.  May include:

  • Standing at several points along The Wall That Heals for public assistance and welcoming all visitors.
  • Assisting visitors in locating names on The Wall
  • Assisting visitors to complete a name rubbing on The Wall
  • Monitoring the flow of visitors and directing them around the exhibits on display at the Mobile Education Center.
  • Answering questions and providing visitors with handouts found at the Mobile Education Center or Info Tent on such topics as Woman and Chaplains on The Wall, Education resources, Wall of Faces, In Memory Program, and Wall Facts.

All volunteers are asked to attend a very important Volunteer Training and Tour on Wednesday April 3, 2024 at 6:00 pm.

Starting Wednesday at 2:00 pm through Sunday at 3:00 pm
