City of Gardena Statewide Direct Primary Election June 2, 2026

The City of Gardena is holding a Statewide Direct Primary Election on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.  There are five (5) elected positions open in the upcoming Election. The office of Mayor, two (2) City Council, City Treasurer, and City Clerk.

Nomination Period

The Nomination Period for the June 2, 2026, Statewide Primary Election, which includes the City of Gardena’s General Municipal Election is starting on Monday, February 9, 2026, and will go through Friday, March 6, 2026. If nomination documents for an incumbent are not filed by 5:00 p.m. on March 6, 2026, the nomination period shall be extended until March 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., for the persons other than the incumbent. Please note there will be a $25 filing fee for pulling a Nomination Packet.

  • May 30, 2026 – June 1, 2026: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • June 2, 2026: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Amestoy Elementary School (4-Day Vote Center)

  • May 30, 2026 – June 1, 2026: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
