Gardena Boulevard Commercial Facade Improvement Program
The City of Gardena’s Commercial Façade Improvement Program provides financial assistance to eligible property and business owners to improve the exterior appearance of commercial buildings along Gardena Boulevard between Vermont Avenue and Budlong Avenue. Funded through a 2022 State Budget Earmark, the program supports corridor revitalization by encouraging private investment, enhancing architectural character, and upgrading the overall visual image of the area.
Eligible improvements may include, but are not limited to:
- Paint Program
- Signage Program
- Awning Program

Application Process:
The application period will open on May 21, 2026.
Applicants must complete the application in its entirety and submit all required supporting materials. Applications may be submitted by email, mail, or in person at City Hall. Eligible projects will be reviewed and processed on a first-come, first-served basis while funding remains available.
Please note: Applications submitted prior to May 21, 2026, will not be accepted or reviewed.
