City of Gardena Solar App+ Program
Contractors are able to use SolarAPP+ for rooftop solar permitting for single-family dwellings in the City of Gardena.
If you are a contractor and would like to complete a residential solar project, please obtain the SolarAPP+ Approval ID from https://solarapp.nrel.gov/. You will then be directed to our Trakit Portal to complete the permit process.
What is SolarAPP+:
It’s an automated online application that assists with expediting the permitting process of new residential rooftop solar for single-family dwellings.

SolarAPP+ Eligibility:
Only projects that conform to this list below are eligible to use the SolarAPP+ permit process for instant permitting. All other solar/PV installations require a regular Building Permit.
